COLUMBUS, Ohio – November 20, 2006 – Jim Wilkerson, Resident Vice President and Branch Manager of State Auto Insurance Companies’ Cincinnati Branch Office, will retire effective January 1, 2007, after 29 years of distinguished service to the State Auto companies. Territory Manager Bob Braun assumes the branch leadership role immediately, and will be assisted by Wilkerson during the transition period.
Wilkerson joined State Auto in 1978 after several years with another insurer and an agency in Lexington, Ky. He first served as a field sales representative for State Auto, and became underwriting manager of the Cincinnati branch office in 1986. The following year he became branch sales and underwriting manager, and became branch manager in 1995. Wilkerson earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Ky.
Braun joined State Auto in 1986 as a commercial lines underwriter and moved to the Cincinnati office in 1988. He held various field and supervisory positions until becoming territory manager for Kentucky in 1992. Braun earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He earned the CPCU designation in 1995.
