COLUMBUS, Ohio -- June 12, 2002 -- For the second time in five years, the State Auto Insurance Companies took top honors at the annual ACORD (Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development) convention, winning the award for Upload Company of the Year. The award is given to the company with the most total upload implementations during the year. State Auto first won the award in 1997, and now, again, in 2002.
"We have long considered ourselves a leader in agency/company interface, and this award proves it," said Noreen Johnson, Director of Information Technology. "Clearly, for a regional company of our size, we are in a quite enviable position within our industry."
Accepting the award at the convention for State Auto were Agency Interface Services Supervisor Debbie Segbers and Project Manager (Internet Development Team) Sandy Stepp.
