Charitable Gift Matching
Our Communities. Our Commitment.
State Auto chooses to be an active supporter of its various neighborhoods, utilizing the talents of its people and some of its capital. State Auto associates generously donate to the daily needs of our fellow men and women through United Way, where the company proudly matches each employee donation, Operation Feed, and the Jack C. Boyle Matching Gift Program, which also matches associate contributions to qualifying 501 c 3 organizations.
Jack C. Boyle Matching Gift Program
The company’s Charitable Corporate Match Program, the Jack C. Boyle Matching Gift Program is named after the retiree that left a portion of his estate as a gift to State Auto. The plan matches employee donations to qualifying 501(c)3 organizations. Employees are able to make two separate requests for matching gifts through the program, the two gifts not exceeding $500, with a minimum of a $100 donation. In 2009, the program's biggest year on record, over $30,000 was paid to qualifying institutions.
United Way and Operation Feed
State Auto chooses to actively support its local community though organizations like United Way and Operation feed. Each year, State Auto Associates generously donate to the daily needs of our fellow men and women with their generous contributions followed by a company match. In 2011, our very own CEO Bob Restrepo and his wife, Mary Frances were chosen to lead the 2011-2012 United Way Campaign for Central Ohio. Ten of our associates who have contributed to United Way were chosen to represent State Auto in the billboard pictured below, which will be up throughout much of this year's Central Ohio United Way campaign.
