Wildfires are frenzied blazes that are fueled by wind and dry shrubbery. Every year in the United States forest fires destroy 1.2 million acres of woodland. They’re capable of moving at intense speeds which get up to 14 miles per hour. While wildfires happen all over the world and in every U.S. state, an estimated 80% of the fires are started by humans.
