A traditional Homeowners Insurance Policy (an HO3 policy) can cover damage caused by elements (a.k.a. perils) such as fire, windstorms, hail, lightning and vandalism. You may also want to consider including other optional homeowner insurance coverages and policies depending on your personal needs. An important reminder — damage caused by floods and earthquakes typically will not be covered by basic homeowner insurance policies.

- We allow for discounts – Fortified Home and Protective Devices (things like smoke detectors, security, and fire alarms).
- Customers don’t have to have their own house insured with us to have a Dwelling Fire policy.
- A Dwelling Fire policy allows customers to select the coverage they need – they can buy liability coverage on a Dwelling Fire, or they can insure just the building and no contents.
Coverage with one limit for everything in a category of items, such as jewelry, computers or firearms.
Coverage for damage to your home resulting from an earthquake.
Extra protection for your home and possessions (automatically included in Premier and can be purchased with Protection Plus policies; not available for Standard).
- Cell Phone Coverage: We pay for direct physical loss or damage to your cell phone while in your covered home (similar to the insurance that cell phone carriers offer).
- Computer Personal Records Coverage: Coverage is available to repay the cost to research, replace, or restore records on a computer destroyed by a covered loss.
- False Alarm Coverage: Coverage for charges incurred if your local police or fire department answers your false alarm.
- Fire Extinguisher Coverage: Coverage to recharge or replace fire extinguishers if they’re used in a fire.
- GPS Coverage: Coverage for direct physical loss or damage to your GPS.
- Increased ID Fraud Expense Coverage: Additional limit to the existing ID fraud protection.
- Mortgage and Related Extra Expense Coverage: Coverage for appraisal and application fees associated with a new mortgage and additional interest expense if you have a higher rate than what you had before.
- Personal Property-Business Use Coverage: Coverage for personal property on your residence premises used at any time for business purposes — Computers/laptops, monitor, desk, printers, tools, etc.
While many homeowners get excited at the thought of making some extra money by listing their home or a room on a home-sharing network, most don't stop to consider if they're properly insured to do so. Our Home-Sharing Activities endorsement provides coverage for furnishings, theft, liability and medical expenses, and much more.
- Days Rented Out: Coverage for a whole home can be added if it’s rented up to 180 days per year (individual rooms or portions of a house can be rented out longer).
- Covers Up To $2,500 For Landlord’s Furnishings: Including TVs and furniture that may become damaged.
- Covers Loss Of Rental Value Due To A Covered Loss: If disaster strikes the property and there are already scheduled guests, this coverage will make up for the lost revenue.
- Liability Protection And Medical Expenses: Policy coverage if a guest is injured on your property, i.e. slips and falls.
- Coverage In Excess Of Other Insurance, Protection Plans, Or Guarantees: The home-sharing network might provide some coverage automatically, but this coverage will help pay for covered losses not paid by the home-sharing network.
- Theft On Rented Premises: Policy coverage if items are stolen from areas that are not being rented out/used by guests, such as your garage or personal bedroom.
- Covers Up To $1,000 For Home-Sharing Host Activities Damage To Property Of Others: If you’re renting your house, and there’s damage to the personal property of others.

Our affordable Home Systems Protection coverage includes everything from AC units to computers to home security monitoring devices. Coverage applies to the cost to repair or replace the equipment and any other property damaged by the equipment breakdown.

Up to $15,000 of coverage is available to pay for certain expenses resulting from identity fraud. This coverage is subject to a deductible and includes:
- Attorney fees
- Costs to notarize fraud affidavits and send certified mail
- Lost income for time off work to meet with law enforcement, credit agencies and legal counsel (maximum up to $200 per day/ $5,000 total.
Increased coverage available to pay for additional costs necessary to comply with the enforcement of an ordinance or law when rebuilding after a loss.
Liability coverage for Personal Injury to others, such as false arrest, malicious prosecution, wrongful eviction, slander, or libel.
Optional coverage that provides “open perils” coverage for physical loss or damage to specifically described items, with a few exceptions.
