State Auto Text Message Program Terms and Conditions

State Automobile Mutual Insurance Company and each of its affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively referred to as “State Auto”) offers a subscription text message program (“Program”). Our Program allows you to subscribe to receive text messages about your insurance policy, billing, claims, weather alerts, marketing and other insurance topics. Please review our Text Message Program Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) to learn more about our Program. State Auto reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Your continued use of the Program will constitute your acceptance of the new terms.

Enrolling in Our Text Message Program
Customers, claimants, agents, and others may visit State Auto’s website or Connect to enroll in the Program, which includes one-time text message as well as two-way texting or chatting. State Auto customers and claimants may ask their agent or a State Auto associate to enroll them in our Program. After your agent or a State Auto associate enrolls you into the Program, you will have an opportunity to confirm or decline your participation in the Program via a reply to an initial text message you receive from State Auto. By replying YES to this message, you are confirming a subscription to this Program. Message frequency varies.

Using a One-Time Text Message
State Auto may offer a one-time text message, and you may text a keyword (i.e., FAST, QUICK, CLAIM, CAR, SAVE, or AUTO) to a specific short code to receive additional information.

Paying for Text Messages
State Auto does not have a separate charge for this Program; however, message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. If you have questions about message and data rates, please contact your mobile carrier.

Stopping Text Messages
To stop receiving text messages, reply to a text messages with NO, STOP, STOP ALL, END, QUIT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE. By enrolling in the Program, you consent that following such a request to unsubscribe, you will receive one final message from State Auto confirming that you have stopped State Auto text messages and will receive no further text messages, unless you provide your consent.

Using Automatic Telephone Dialing Systems
State Auto may use an automatic dialing system to deliver text messages to you. The Federal Communications Commission defines an "automatic telephone dialing system" or autodialer as equipment that has the capacity to store or produce telephone numbers to be called and to call such numbers. 47 C.F.R. § 64.1200. By your subscription to the Program, you give your consent to State Auto to use an automatic dialing system to deliver text messages to the telephone or cell phone number to which you have directed State Auto to transmit text messages.

At State Auto, we respect the privacy of customers, agents, and visitors. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information.

Other Information About Our Program
You are responsible for managing the types of text messages that you receive. Please note that text messages may delayed. If you have any questions or need help, please call our Customer Service department at 1-800-444-9950. State Auto may terminate this Program at any time without notice.
